Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City tourism promotion program in Australia 2023

Taking place from 11-17 May 2023, Vietnam - HCMC tourism promotion program in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane (Australia) is rated by local businesses with the largest scale ever in the Australian market.

Australia is one of the key markets for Vietnam's tourism, with great potential to contribute to the flow of tourists to Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular. Before the outbreak of COVID, in 2019 Vietnam welcomed about 383,511 Australian visitors. The Australian tourist market has always had strong growth and is in the top 10 markets with the highest number of tourists to Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in recent years.

The delegation from Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City was led by Comrade Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, along with more than 20 representatives from leading airlines, tour operators and hotels in Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City attended the program.

The first activity in a series of tourism promotion programs between Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City was held at Jackson Sydney Harbor Luxury Cruise, Darling Harbor, Sydney on the night of May 12, 2023. After that, the show took place at Crown Promenade Melbourne on the night of May 15, 2023 before ending in Brisbane on the afternoon of May 17, 2023. The event attracted the attendance of more than 200 delegates from organizations, agencies, travel agencies and interested partners from many different regions of Australia.
