E-visa Vietnam valid up to 90 days - Policy changes at the end of 2023

On 24 June, Vietnamese National Assembly approved an extension of the e-visa validity for tourists from 30 to 90 days, valid from August 15, 2023.

With the issuance of an e-visa, foreign nationals can enter and exit Vietnam multiple times within the 90-day validity period without the need for additional visa procedures.

Citizens of countries exempted from visa requirements by Vietnam are allowed to stay for up to 45 days (increased from 15 days) and can be considered for visa issuance or extension according to regulations.

The government has also reached bilateral visa exemption agreements with Chile, Panama, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei, and Myanmar.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, these new policies are expected to attract a significant number of international tourists, particularly during the peak season starting around September.
